On Sunday 13 January we will be hosting a programme of discussions and screenings to mark the closing of Music & Liberation, an exhibition of artefacts from the Women’s Liberation Music Archive, curated by Dr. Deborah M. Withers and Frankie Green.

Barby Asante, curator of the South London Black Music Archive, will be in conversation with Music & Liberation‘s co-creator Dr. Deborah M. Withers, chaired by Tom Perchard, author of Lee Morgan – His Life, Music and Culture.
Followed by Mette Reitzel’s trailer for feature documentary Hip Hop Hijabis. Mette will introduce and say a few words about the project.
4 – 5.00pm
Screening of a documentary on The Gluts. Comprising Hayley Newman, Gina Birch and Kaffe Matthews, The Gluts are an all-female troupe of activists/artists/musicians. Followed by a Q&A with Hayley and Gina.
We will then be screening a selection of The Gluts‘ music videos with drinks and light refreshments to celebrate this immersive and exciting exhibition.
